When you sign in to Vandan, we collect basic account information from your sign-in provider (name, email, profile photo). We collect your selected or device-reported location to determine your city, used only to calculate accurate panchang, sunrise, and muhurat timings. We collect a notification token so we can send festival and puja reminders you've opted into.
Your data is used solely to operate Vandan: personalizing panchang to your city, syncing your saved bhajans and paaths across devices, and delivering the notifications you've enabled. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
Account and profile data is stored with Google Firebase, hosted in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
You can disable location access or notifications at any time from your device settings — core panchang features will fall back to a manually selected city. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting hello@myvandan.ai.
We'll update this page if our data practices change materially, and reflect the new effective date above.
